In Which I Introduce my Purpose

I have found after working in animal welfare for many years that man is, a lot of the time, completely thoughtless when it comes to the animals. Especially animals who have been domesticated. That isn't to say that man is abusive or horrible. I have met people who would rather starve than allow their pets to eat less than the highest quality of food. But on the flip side, I have met people who have beaten, fought, and neglected their pets for various reasons.

I hope, with this blog, to discuss a range of things-- from puppy care, to heartworm disease, to the proper feline diet, to local Chicago shelters who are putting everything they have into rescuing the animals that need them most.

I write for Examnier.com's Chicago Dog Rescue section, and I intend to share my articles there as well as my thoughts, relevant websites, and events that pertain to dogs and animal rescue in general.
